He studied and later worked in business and finance in Geneva, painting on the side. He sought guidance from professional painters and trained in their workshops, taking numerous courses. In 2003 he quit his other activities to devote himself fully to painting, a long-time passion, in his workshop in rue Dizerens in Geneva, where he works and exhibits.
