Mariette Chappuis est née à Lausanne, Suisse, en 1954

De la gravure des années 90 aux techniques mixtes qu'elle affectionne aujourd'hui, Mariette Chappuis n'a fait qu'affirmer son besoin de jouer avec la matière qu'elle explore. Adepte du collage, elle choisit des papiers de provenance très diverse, allant même jusqu'à en fabriquer elle-même, qu'on retrouve dans ses oeuvres actuelles, où figurent acrylique, craie et collages...

Mariette Chappuis was born in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1954.

From copperplate engraving in the 90s to the mixed techniques she favors today, Mariette Chappuis has steadily affirmed her interest in experimentation with a wide variety of materials. Fascinated by collage, she'll select paper of widely varying kinds and origins, even going to the trouble of making her own, to include in her present work, featuring acrylic and chalk along with collages...
